The following announcement appeared in the "Morning Republican" (West Chester, Delaware Co., PA) on Tuesday, June 26, 1894:

KIPE- At Chadd's Ford, on June 24,1894, William Kipe, in the 75th year of his age.

Friends and relatives of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his son, George B. Kipe, on Tuesday, June 26, 1894. Meet at the Brandywine Baptist Church at 2 o'clock, where services will be held.

The following announcement appeared in the "Morning Republican" (West Chester, Delaware Co., PA) on Wednesday, June 27, 1894:

The funeral of William Kipe, Chadd's Ford, took place yesterday afternoon. Edward Heyburn spoke and interment was made at Brandywine Baptist Church. The bearers were four sons, George, Lewis, William and Elwood Kipe, and two grandsons, Howard Brown and Caleb Cooper.


NOTE: The gravestone appears to have been placed after Mariam's death, at least seven years after William had passed; his years of birth and death are incorrect on the gravestone.
