Mr. Brandao died Sunday February 1, 1981 at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana after a brief illness. He was a resident of Plain Dealing for 35 years, and was retired from Arkla Gas Co. after 43 years of service. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Benevalent & Protective Order of the Elks, the Civil Defense Police, and was past recipient of the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors included his wife, Thelma Brandao, Plain Dealing; four sons, Edward J. Brandao, New Orleans, LA, Stephen M. Brandao and Jermome H. Brandao, both of Bossier City, LA, and Eugene J. Brandao, Houston, Texas; one daughter, Joan B. Powell, Plain Dealing, LA; two brothers, J. Perry Brandao, Baton Rouge, LA, and L. H. Brandao, Frzier Park, California; one sister, Georgette Todaro of Shreveport, LA; and ten grandchildren.
