Luther Ray Gordon went into eternal rest on February 29, 2016, one day shy of his 93rd birthday.

He was born near Gilbert, LA on March 1, 1923.

He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He has been the owner of Gordon & Sandifer Auto Service since 1956.

He is survived by his wife Verena Mounce McFadden Gordon, his daughter Lynn LaPrarie (Winston), his son Mark Gordon (Laura), Grandchildren Nathan LaPrarie (Tonya), John Wiley (Danielle), Sarah Goodwin (Devin), Jerome Wiley (Laura), Dedra Wiley, Jesse Wiley (Jenny), Lauren Westmoreland (Ryan), Landon Gordon, and Logan Gordon. He is also survived by stepsons Bruce McFadden, Marlin McFadden (Theresa), Lecil McFadden, and Garlan McFadden and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret Bennett Gordon, daughter Brenda Gordon Aime, five sisters, three brothers, and parents, George and Sena Gordon.

Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation on Friday will resume at 9:00am. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am and officiated by Richard Gasser and Marilyn Stafford. Burial will follow in Sibley Cemetery, Walker.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
