Amy was taken into the arms of an Angel on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Oakville in her 18th year. Loving daughter of Sharon (mom) and her husband Clive, also John (dad) and Joan. Cherished only granddaughter of Ron. Dear step-sister of Rebecca. Amy was much loved and will be greatly missed by many cousins, aunts, uncles and her many close friends. Amy greatly enjoyed physical activities such as scuba diving in the Caribbean as well as skiing in Collingwood, Alberta and British Columbia. She held the designation of Advanced Open Water Diver and was an accomplished skier. Amy was well traveled spending time in Europe, Central America and the Caribbean. Her passions included music; she was an accomplished singer/performer, guitarist and pianist. Additionally, she greatly enjoyed photography, art and writing. She planned on some day becoming a photo journalist. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2008 at St. Matthew’s Parish, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville. Interment to follow at Grove Cemetery, Dundas. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to R.O.C.K. – Reach Out Centre for Kids, www.rockonline.ca; or call 905-639-2800, Extension 221.
