Anne Hogan, 81, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.

Anne was born on August 13, 1934 in Union Point, Georgia to the late William and Addie Mathis Thornton. Following high school, she continued her education receiving her Business Degree. Anne then began her career as a telephone operator at Robins Air Force Base, where she was employed until her retirement. She was a member of Second Baptist Church for many years. Anne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she always made her family her priority.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Audie C. Hogan; daughter, Sara Jo Hogan, brothers, Henry C. Thornton and Tom Thornton; and sister-in-law, Elaine Schewe.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Leigh Yentzer (Tom), Audie Hogan (Pam), and Robin Mackey (John), all of Warner Robins; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Thornton (Betty Ann) of Union Point; sisters-in-law, Wendy Thornton, Jenny Thornton, JoAnn McDowell (Bob), and Louise Wade; brothers-in-law, Wilder Schewe and James Wade; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016 in Magnolia Park Cemetery where Anne will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Audie C. Hogan.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Anne Thornton Hogan to Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
