AARON BLANKENSHIP

LAWN- Aaron Blankenship, 94, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, in an Abilene care center. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Price Mathieson officiating. Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola.

Mr. Blankenship was born in Bradshaw (TX). He married Viola Beatrice Adams in 1928. She preceded him in death April 27, 2000. He lived in Wewoka, OK from 1927 to 1974 where he was a pipeline welder, retiring in 1972, After he retired he moved to Lawn in 1974 where he was a stock farmer. He was a member of Lawn Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Addie Gladden Blankenship; his wife; and a sister, Edith Blankenship.

Survivors include three sons, Alvis Blankenship of Lawn, Charles Blankenship of Abilene and Tex Blankenship of Colorado City; one brother, J. C. Blankenship of Houston; a sister, Leona Papasan of Ballinger; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
