Becky was a proud alumna of Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, graduating with a degree in Primary Education in 1953. She and her husband Jim, an Air Force officer, had numerous duty stations across the United States and abroad.
Becky was extremely active in the community. She held the office of President of the Retired Officer’s Wives Club numerous times as well as President of the El Paso County Republican Women two times. She and her husband enjoyed traveling all over the world, especially by cruise ship. Trips included Asia, Australia and Europe.
Becky is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim; sons, Doug (Debbie) and Greg (Judi) Way and her grandchildren, Ryan and Diana of Boulder and Littleton, Colorado.
Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow services at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
