Funeral services for Dorothy Pepper Brooks will be on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Ramah Baptist Church (Franklin County) at 2:30 PM, with burial to follow in Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Brookhaven Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) on Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
Mrs. Brooks, 85, passed from this life on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Haven Hall Nursing Home in Brookhaven, MS. She was born on June 17, 1930, in Lincoln County, MS, to Van and Josie Mae Pepper. She was a member of Ramah Baptist Church. She enjoyed puzzles, bingo and working in her yard. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Van and Josie Mae Pepper; husbands, Charles Moore and William Brooks; sister, Wilma Porter; and brothers, James Horton Pepper, T.L. Pepper, Marlon Pepper and Jerry Pepper.
Survivors are her daughters, Kathy Moore Wallace and husband Calvin of Brookhaven, MS, and Brenda Moore Irby and husband James of Oxford, MS; sons, Van Moore and wife Judy of Aberdeen, MS, and Mark Moore and wife Beverly of Jackson, MS; sisters, Gladys Richardson, Ruth Newman and Josie Wright; grandchildren, Denise White and husband Randy, Dwayne Roberts and wife Dana, Chad Roberts, Kenny Skipworth and wife Dana, Donna Skipworth, Brian Moore and wife Joni, Bradley Moore and wife Jodi, Ian Moore, and Dustin Moore; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
