Mrs. Nellie Wagoner Murphy, 82, of 3310 Glade Valley Road, Sparta, NC, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, in Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta. She was the widow of Buster Floyd Murphy. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Floyd and Lawana Murphy and Mac and Susan Murphy, all of Sparta; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Lillian Smith of Ennice, NC. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Pine Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
