Mary Shoemaker, 91, a resident of Oswego, died March 10, 2016 at Seneca Hill Manor. Born in New Haven, NY, she was the daughter of the late King and Helen (Springer) Crockford. She was a mother and homemaker. She loved reading, knitting and spending her winters in Florida. She enjoyed bridge club and attending church at the First United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Ronald) Lupa of Fulton; a son, Kyle E. Shoemaker of Milbrook, NY; a sister, Jane Smolak of Auburn; four grandchildren, Erin (Don) Plouffe, Michael Lupa, Trevor Shoemaker and Rory Shoemaker; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles E. Shoemaker. Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Tuesday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego. Burial will follow at the White Chapel Cemetery in Dewitt. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Central NY Chapter, 441 Kirkpatrick St. Syracuse, NY 13204.
