Regina C. Sudut, 94, 502 N. Center Avenue, Merrill, died Monday, December 4, 2000, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill. Regina was born May 16, 1906, in Wausau, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Springer) Cyganek. She married Joseph Sudut in 1927, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death in 1961. Regina was employed as a seamstress and worked for many years until her retirement at the former St. Mary Hospital in Wausau. Survivors include her children, Judy (Mike) Martin, Merrill, Diana (Ron) Heath, Bristol, Tenn., Terry (Teresa) Sudut, Anchorage, Alaska, Jim (Pauline) Sudut, Anchorage, Alaska, Patricia (Gerald) Bloedel, Mosinee, Charlene (Mike) Gutowski, Ringle, Bill Sudut, Wausau, and Eugene Sudut, Wausau; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sophia Burdick, Merrill, and Rose Rollenhagen, Hinckley, Minn.; and one brother, Joey Cyganek, Owen. Besides her husband and parents, Regina was preceded in death by two sons, Lt. Jerome (Jerry) Sudut and Joseph (Buzz) Sudut Jr.; three brothers, Frank, Ted and Ed Cyganek. The funeral Mass will be celebrated noon Thursday, December 7, 2000, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. The Very Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the church. Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau, is in charge of the arrangements.
