Struckman Rites Held Friday
Funeral services were held Friday, November 11, 1983, at the First United Methodist Church in Ord, Nebraska, for May Elizabeth Struckman who died November 7, 1983, in Greeley, Colorado.
Mrs. Struckman was born May 3, 1902, to Hiram and Addie Wilbur Rogers of Ord, Nebraska. May attended Ord High School and York College, York, Nebraska. She taught school in the Ord area until her marriage June 4, 1925 to Henry Struckman of Burwell, Nebraska. Harry and May farmed in Garfield county until his death in 1948.
In 1953, Mrs. Struckman moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where she lived until her recent illness when she moved to Fairacres Manor in Greeley, Colorado.
A memorial service arranged by her daughter, Virginia Struckman Stoddard of the Stoddard Funeral home, in Greeley, Colorado was held November 9, in Fort Collins.
Rev. Curtis Trenhaille officiated at the United Methodist Church service in Ord on November 11. Burial was in the Ord City Cemetery with Ord Memorial Chapel in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Struckman is survived by two sons, Rollin R. and wife, Mary Ann of Burwell, and Keith A. and wife Paula, of Hollis, NH; two daughters, Virginia Stoddard and husband, Paul, of Greeley, CO and Carol White and husband, Strattan, of Williamsville, NY; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Wilbur, and three sisters, Alice, Hazel, and Myrtle.
