Mrs. Woods was born in Griffin, Georgia on July 10, 1938. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Leon Chambers and Marylou McIntyre Chambers. She was employed for many years as head bookkeeper for Farmers Bank in Forsyth. Mrs. Woods was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Donald Woods; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Bruce Hopkins; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gayla Woods; grandchildren, Colton Woods, Whitney Hillier and husband, Aaron, Harrison Hopkins and wife, Keely, Kipling Webster and husband, Jonathan; sister, Peggy Cody; brother, Don Chambers; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Elizabeth (Jo) Woods will be conducted on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Jack Landham will officiate. Friends may visit with the family following the service.
