William Bryan, 70 years, of East Lincoln street, died Monday, July 4, 1960, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health several months, but seriously ill only a few days. Mr. Bryan was a son of James and Annie Kennedy Bryan, and was born February 10, 1890, in Waynesburg. As a young man Mr. Bryan was associated with his father in the operation of a dairy farm. In later life he was associated with the Waynesburg Dairy until ill health forced his retirement several years ago. He was a veteran of World War I and served overseas with Company K. Mr. Bryan was a resident of the Waynesburg community all of his life and was affiliated with the Methodist Church. He was a member of James Farrell Post 330, American Legion. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Emma Bryan Spragg of Waynesburg; Betty, wife of Wilbur Cross of Waynesburg, and Lucille, wife of Dr. C. M. Spangler of Philadelphia; one brother, James of Beaver Falls, and several nieces and nephews. One sister, Mrs. Grace Bryan Flowers, and one brother, John K. Bryan, are deceased.
