Born September 26, 1946 in Parsons, Tennessee to the late Della B. & Mary O. Miller Peterson, Margie lived most of her life in Mississippi County. She loved to read and do puzzles.
She is survived by one daughter, Tracy Abbott of East Prairie; one brother Shirley Peterson of Chicago; her longtime companion Carl Crosier of the home; and a host of relatives and many friends.
Besides her parents Margie was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Brown Chessor and her second husband Robert Allen Abbott; one daughters, Lisa Chessor; one grandchild, Baby Abbott; one sister Argie Fae Peterson; four brothers, Elmer Peterson, J.B. Peterson, Roy Peterson and Robert Peterson.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at 302 South Washington St. in East Prairie until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. with Bro. Martin Lucas officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Charleston, Mo with Ponder Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Steven Dixon, Michael Fisher, LaBreeska Fisk, Jody Ladamondeer, Roy Higgins and Johnny Higgins.
