Benjamin Warner, an old and influential citizen of Chanute, died at his home on North Forest early Wednesday morning and was buried in Elmwood Thursday afternoon.
Mr. Warner was 84 years old. He passed away from the infirmities of old age. He came to Chanute in 1871 and was a leading merchant in his early days.
Mr. Warner was always a reliable and highly respected citizen and took an active interest in public affairs. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. F.M. Dawdy, of this city. Mrs. Warner died a few years ago.
