John Wesley was the 5th child out of 10 of John Preston Osborn and Pauline(or Perlina) Elizabeth (Swetman) Osborn. He came with his family to Arizona in 1864.

John Preston Osborn and his wife Perlina Elizabeth Swetnam were looking for a better place to live for her health. They migrated to Colorado from Iowa then onto Arizona. They arrived in Prescott, July 7 1864 as part of wagon train traveling from Colorado. They brought with them the high grade dairy cattle he was known to raise in Iowa."
John Wesley's first marriage was to Laura Frances Morrell on May 9, 1889 in Maricopa Co., AZ when he was 35 and she was 19.
She died only a few years later leaving 2 children:
Roy Swetnam Osborn (1890-1969) and
Gladys E Osborn (1891-abt 1971)(she married Harry Bennett abt 1912).
His second marriage was to Leona Ann Kelly on July 5, 1898 in Maricopa Co., AZ when he was 44 and she was 30.
They had 3 children:
Katherine Rose (1899-1968) who married Harry Morrell
John W., Jr., who died at age 6 (1904-1910)
Robert Leonard (1906- ) who married Ruby L. Martin
