RITES HERE SATURDAY FOR JACOB ROSKUSKI
Dies Wednesday at Hospital After Long Illness

Jacob ("Jack") Roskuski, 72, died on Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, following an illness of two years. Mr. Roskuski was a retired contractor for many years associated with the J. C. O'Connor contracting firm in Delphi in the building of many bridges and roads in the state.
Born in 1867 in Posen, Germany, he was the son of Josephine and Charles Roskuski. He came to the United States when he was 10 years old and resided in this community since that time. He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Tennis Roskuski of Delphi and John Roskuski of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Brady of Muncie and Miss Teckla Roskuski, with whom he made his home here. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was married in 1897 to Teresa Kelly of Delphi, who died in 1904.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at nine o'clock from St. Joseph's church, with the Rev. Simon Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. Blythe and Sons in charge of arrangements.

(From a Delphi newspaper)

Not sure when Jacob was born Tombstone says, 1866 but obituary says 1867. 1900 Census says he was born in March 1865.

JACK ROSKUSKI DIES

Jacob (Jack) Roskuski, 73, died Wednesday morning at 7:30 o'clock at St. Elizabeth hospital in Lafayette after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Roskuski was born in Germany and came to America when three years old, with his parents. For years he was employed with the O'Conner road construction company. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church in Delphi. He never married and resided with his sister Miss Teckla in Delphi.
The body was taken to the Blythe and Sons funeral home. It will be taken to the resident this (Thursday) afternoon. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at the St. Joseph's Catholic church. Rev. S. S. Schmitt will officiate.

From a newspaper clipping found in the Roskuski Bible at the home of Anna Marie Thompson Schwering and given to me by Susan Galliher granddaughter of Mary Brady. This clipping states that Jack was not married, however the clipping from a Delphi newspaper states that he was married to Teresa Kelly. She is also buried at the St. Joseph's Catholic church Cemetery.

Not sure of Jacob birthday I have he was born March 1867 because 1900 census records say that. Susan Galliher has his birth as July 24, 1866.
