Tom was born on Aug. 28, 1948, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Robert and Evelyn Campbell Seater. He grew up in Bonanza and graduated in 1966 from Bonanza High School, where he competed in cross country and played basketball.
He married Donna Brown in 1967 in Reno, Nev. They had two children, Tammy and Rob. He worked at Jeld-Wen for a short period of time before beginning a career at Southern Pacific Railroad, which became Union Pacific. He retired from Union Pacific in 2007.
He was a member of New Horizon Christian Fellowship. He enjoyed growing tomatoes and looking for mushrooms and artifacts. He also enjoyed fishing. especially at Diamond Lake, elk hunting with the family group, and deer hunting. He liked his weekly trips to KlaMoYa Casino. He could always be found attending all of the sporting events for his children and then his grandchildren. He was a strong supporter for all his grandchildren and would cheer for all those he knew even when they were not on the same teams.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, sisters and brothers-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; daughter, Tammy; parents-in-law, Bob and Evelyn Seater; brother, Davey; niece, Mattie Stine; brother-in-law, Larry Brown; and sister-in-law, Connie Aker.
