Mrs. Catharine W. Bowie died at four o'clock yesterday afternoon at the residence of her son, Col. Washington Bowie, No. 914 North Calvert street, aged 86 years. She was the wife of the late Thos. J. Bowie, of Montgomery county, and a sister of Mr. Allen Bowie Davis, who died a couple of months ago. She was a lady of fine intelligence and attractive character, and had retained to a remarkable degree her mental faculties. Mrs. Bowie leaves two sons, Mr. Thos. J. D. Bowie, of Montgomery county, and Col. Washington Bowie, chief clerk to the surveyor of the port of Baltimore. The funeral will take place from St. John's church, Olney, Montgomery county, tomorrow at 3 o'clock.
