Jeremiah Shaw, a native of Rhode Island, who had served in the Revloutionary War, came to Sheshequin with his family in 1786. His wife was Abigail Campbell and their children:

Mr Shaw died 1815, aged 85 years and his wife 1811, aged 64 years.
