Clifford O. Marlett, age 84, of Menomonie, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie.
Clifford was born Nov. 28, 1918, in the Town of Tiffany to Bert and Nellie (Keck) Marlett. He lived most of his life in the Dunn County area.
Clifford married Lucille Donicht on Aug. 24, 1940, in Stillwater, Minn. He served in the U.S. Navy from Oct. 28, 1944, to Nov. 1, 1945. Upon returning, he went to work for the Dunn County Highway Department, retiring in 1982.
Clifford enjoyed fishing, visiting with people, and he worked on woodcrafts as a hobby.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, six brothers, and five sisters.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Lucille Marlett of Menomonie; a son, Barry (Patricia) Marlett of Menomonie; two daughters, Diana (Dennis) Lentz of Eau Claire and Joyce (Lewie) Benitz of Wisconsin Rapids; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at the Everts Funeral Home in Glenwood City with the Rev. Ralph Thompson officiating. Burial was in Mound Cemetery in Downing.
