Jerome “Jerry” Ruether, 78, Green Bay resident, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at his home. Jerry was born August 7, 1937, in Manitowoc, to the late Edward and Cecile (Barbier) Ruether. He graduated from Mishicot High School in 1955. Following school he served in the Army National Guard from 1958 to 1961. Jerry was a truck driver for 44 years, including the last 10 years driving for Packer City International.

Jerry is survived by his significant other of 9 years, Darla Menucci; his children, John (significant other Janet Bennin) Ruether, Lynette (Perry) Schwagerman, and Sheila (Dave) Lierman; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He is further survived by brothers, Edward Jr. (Joan) Ruether, Delmar (Patricia) Ruether, and Charles (Tracy) Ruether; and one sister, Diann Kramer; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Darlene Jack; and one brother-in-law, Paul Kramer.

In accordance with Jerry’s wishes, private family services will be held. Entombment will be in the Fort Howard Chapel Mausoleum.
