While four boys were playing marbles on the ice just below the bridge at Reynoldsville last Wednesday afternoon, Jimmie Farrell and Frank Martin. Jimmie slipped into the hole and Frank ran to help him out and in the struggle he too was pulled through the ice. Another boy fell through the the ice but help came in time to save him. The water was swift under the ice and the bodies were carried about 50 feet below where they fell in. Both bodies were found about noon on Thursday. The drowned boys were sons of Michael Martin and Patrick Farrel of Pleasant Avenue and were about 9 and 12 years of age.
