He was a native of Tamassee, SC and long time resident of Buncombe Co, NC. Mr. Ridley was a retired lumberman and farmer. He was the father of Velzie Mae Blankenship of Leicester,NC and James W Ridley of Hermosa Beach, CA. In addition to his children he is survived by sister Hazel Ridley McElrath of Asheville, NC and brother David Ridley of Clayton, GA along with his wife Jerlen Mintz Ridley.
