Funeral services for Ruby Ellen Jones, 68, of 301 Fourth St. will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Peace Chapel by the Rev. Bud Israel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.

She died Thursday at 1:45 p.m. at the Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV.
She was the daughter of William James Akers and Ada Elizabeth Wheeling Akers. She was born April 4, 1909 in Wythe County, VA. She was a retired nurse's aid at Raleigh General Hospital. She was a member of the Degree of Honor Lodge, the Golden Gate Mabscott Lodge, and the Regular Baptist Church of Beckley.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wayne Jones, on Sep 27, 1975.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married on Sep 16, 1931, Dewey Jones of Beckley: a daughter, Mrs. Brenda Ellen of Dumfries, VA.: three brothers, Henry Akers, of Hopewell, VA., Robert and Thomas Akers, Both of Draper, VA.: two sisters, Mrs. Ellis Nunn of Pulaski, VA.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Allen Bonds Jr., Robert Manning, Jack Jones, Jack Jones Jr., Rober Wayne Jones Jr., and Robert Nunn.
