Paul Simon was born 25 Jan 1868* in Szinpetri, Hungary to Paul Simon and Mary Dusberg. He immigrated to the US in 1890. He married Gabriella "Ella" Pataki about 1885 or 1896, in either Budapest, Hungary or in New York, New York (Ella immigrated in 1895).

They had 12 children in 26 years, ten of who lived to adulthood.

Paul died on 2 May 1941 in Fordham, a neighborhood located in the western Bronx, New York City. He was 73. Paul was buried in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.

Nothing is known of Paul's family of origin other than that they were Jewish.

*Sources give Paul's year of birth as 1867 or 1868. The year 1867 was documented in his application for US naturalization, but most sources (including his death certificate) indicate that the correct year was 1868.
