Lillian Taylor was the only daughter of Reid Taylor and LeNora Butterfield Taylor. She was born in Alpena, MI, married in Detroit, MI to Dr. Charles Benaja Leonard. They had one son, Philip Taylor Leonard. After the death of Dr. Leonard at age 37, Lillian and son Philip travelled to Great Falls, Mt., where the Taylor family had a ranch in the Judith Basin area. She attended Library Science school in Los Angeles, CA returning to Great Falls where she lived until her death in 1936.

The following appeared Sunday, July 19, 1936, on page 7 of the Detroit Free Press, Detroit, Michigan: "Mrs. Lillian Taylor Leonard - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel for Mrs. Lillian Taylor Leonard, former Detroiter, who died Wednesday at her home in Great Falls, Mont., after a long illness.
"Mrs. Leonard, the widow of Dr. Charles B. Leonard, who had practiced medicine here prior to his death in 1918, had been living in Great Falls 18 years. She is survived by a son, Philip Taylor Leonard, of Great Falls." (Submitted by Sally Williams, Magnolia, DE)
