Obituary—Mrs. Nigh.

Mary Ann Nigh was born in Shelbyville(sic) county, Illinois, January 6, 1834, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Gleason, in this city, December, 24, 1916.

Mrs. Nigh united in marriage to Isaac Nigh, in Illinois, September 29, 1853. This this union were born three children, one of whom, Samuel Nigh, passed away about twenty years ago. The other son, Frank Nigh, lives in Iola, and the daughter, Mrs. Mary Gleanson, in Humboldt.

More than forty years ago Mrs. Nigh moved to Kansas, settling on a farm five miles south of Humboldt. Twenty-three years ago the family moved to Humboldt. Two months ago the husband passed away and since that time Mrs. Nigh has been a constant sufferer, but through it all was patient and thoughtful of others.

Besides the son and daughter, she is survived by one brother, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. J. Gleason, at 2:30 o'clock afternoon, December 26, conducted by Rev. Wm. H. Davis of the Presbyterian church. Her grandsons acted as pallbearers. The remains were laid to rest in Mount Hope cemetery.
