The death of J.P. Brooks which occurred Sunday was one which bids fair to remain a mystery. While in apparent perfect health he was stricken down by some unknown cause which, from its effects, strongly point to belladonna poisoning. Monday a post mortem examination was held and the stomach removed for the purpose of having a chemical analysis made of it s contents.
Being a member of the K. of H., and G.A.R., his funeral services were conducted by those fraternities.
