CHARLES NEWELL BROOKS DEAD.
Paralysis Ends the Life of An Ex-Newspaper Worker.
Charles Newell Brooks, a retired news. paper man, formerly connected with the Kansas City Journal, died at 11:30 o'clock last night at his home, 2400 East Tenth Street. He was stricken with paralysis about noon.
Mr. Brooks came to Kansas City in 1868 and was anctively engaged in newspaper work until fiffeen years ago. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Anna Brooks, three sons. Walter. Ralph and Neil, and two daughters, Lillie Brooks and Mrs. R. A. Carter of St. Louis.
