Althea Burkholder Harlan passed quietly in the early morning hours of April 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Apopka, Florida on September 2, 1927, Althea spent most of her life in Ravenna. She worked as the receptionist for many years at the Portage County Courthouse.
Preceded in death by her parents
Raymond Glen and Cora Mae Rawson,
step-mother Hattie Rawson
and beloved brother David "Bud" Rawson, she is survived by her devoted sons, Donald (Susan) Burkholder, Larry Burkholder and her faithful dog Kelly.
The family would like to thank the kind and special nurses and her wonderful Doctor at UH Medical Center, who provided comfort and support in her final days. The family ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
