Mr. and Mrs. John C. Christy of Lick Creek township, celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary last friday, November 28, 1902. All their children were present but one daughter that lives in Yankton, South Dakota. Several states and territories were represented. John C. Christy and Christena Fisk were united in marriage by James Dunlavy 50 years ago, and as a result of this union, nine children were born unto them, four sons and five daughters. Plenty to eat and good music were the order of the day, and all report a very pleasant gatherin.

Mr. John C. Christy, one of the old pioneers of Davis County died at his home near Floris on friday, December 30, after about 4 years of continuel suffering from several strokes of paralysis.
Mr. Christy was one of the first settlers in Davis County and has a wide acquaintence of friends who will learn of his death with sadness. He was past 72 years of age and during the past 4 years he has been in failing health and has only passed to his reward. He leaves a large family to mourn his loss.
