JoAnn, 67, of Broomfield, went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2016. Her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior assured her of her eternal home. JoAnn was a retired teacher from Sheridan Green Elementary School and North Arvada Middle School. The gift of love she shared was a special quality she extended to all.

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, JoAnn is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Stephanie (Dan) Christen and Brian (Desmonne) Bennett; grandchildren, who called her "Dash", Kayla and Luke Christen; mother, Dona Belle Kneifl; brother, Jim (LaDa) Kneifl; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Kneifl; and brother, Don Kneifl.

The family will receive friends during visitation on Wednesday, from 5-8 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 W. 80th Ave., in Arvada. Services honoring JoAnn will be Thursday, 10 AM, Flatirons Community Church, 355 W. South Boulder Road, in Lafayette. A reception will immediately follow at the church.

JoAnn will be laid to rest on Thursday, 2 PM, at Arvada Cemetery, 5581 Independence St., in Arvada.
