Edward Wahl - Garwood, NJ
Edward Wahl, 71, husband of Hannah C. Wahl, of 347 Myrtle Avenue, died last Thursday, in Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfleld, after a long illness. The funeral was held Saturday morning at Holy Trinity Church, Westfleld, of which Mr. Wahl was a communicant. The Rev. Charles Buttner of St. Mark's Church, Rahway, a cousin of Mr. Wahl's son-in-law. Patrolman Edward Lee of Cranford, assisted at the altar in a high mass of requiem. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Plainfleld.
A native of Berkeley Heights, Mr. Wahl lived for many years in Westfleld, where be was employed as a butcher most of his life. He retired about two years ago and had been living in Garwood for the past few months with a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Bowlby, at the Myrtle Avenue address. Survivors in addition to his wife and daughter Mrs. Kenneth Bowlby, include two other daughters, Mrs. Lee of Cranford and Mrs. Alan Prish of Garwood, and two sons, Edward Jr., of Cranford, and John of Rahway.
