Edward Leroy Akin, 91, a U.S. Army/ Airforce WWII Veteran of Midwest City went home to heaven on Sunday May 8, 2016.

Edward married Maudie on January 29, 1946 in Salem, IL and were married 70 years. Edward retired from Tinker Airforce base in 1980. He attended The Charity Freewill Baptist church. Edward is survived by his wife Maudie, and daughters Anna Davis, Peggy Davis and husband Ray, Luanne Peters and husband Tommy, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many friends and family. In death Edward was preceded by his parents, 3 siblings and one son-in-law.


Services will be Thursday, May 12, 2016 @ 10AM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home N.E. in MWC with interment at 2PM at Resthaven Cemetery in Shawnee, OK.


Public viewing will be available after 3PM on Tues., May 10, 2016. Family Visitation is set for Wed., May 11, 2016 from 5-7PM.
