Church, Club Worker Died Wednesday

The Ada community lost a citizen who had for many years been a mainstay in church and club activities when Mrs. Daisy Bohannon, 73, died in Lima Memorial hospital Wednesday evening from a heart ailment. She had been in ill health for the last three years.
During her active years Mrs. Bohannon had been a valued worker in many local groups. She was a charter member of the Research club, a past president of the Ada Federation, a member of the Garden club, and W.C.T.U. Her Methodist church work covered many years and included the W.S.C.S and Fenwick class.
Mrs Bohannon was born January 10, 1877 at Larue, the daughter of Joseph E. and Sarah E Clark Johnson. She was married to C.J. Bohannon, who died on May 28, 1923. The couple had no children. They resided for many years at 126 West Montford avenue.
Surviving are a sister Mrs. J.M Bailey, Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, Orlo R. Johnson, Tampa, Fla., and George Johnson, Columbus.
Services will be conducted Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Methodist church by the Rev. Lee C. Moorehead. Interment in Woodlawn cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lantz funeral home from Saturday noon until Sunday noon. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour before the service.
