Norman A. Krebsbach, 83, of rural Kiel, died Wednesday evening, May 11, 2016 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, Plymouth after a lengthy illness. He was born March 2, 1933 in Peebles, WI, (Town of Taycheedah), son of the late Anthony & Mathilda (Koenigs) Krebsbach. He attended St. Anna School. Norman was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from Oct. 1951-Oct. 1955 as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic, Crew Chief and Flight Chief on B-47 Aircraft. He also worked 2 years as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic on B-52s at Boeing Airplane Co. He farmed in the Town of Schleswig and was self-employed doing small engine and lawnmower repair for 37 years. On May 18, 1957 he married Patricia Fischer at St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna. Norman was a member of the New Holstein American Legion, Post 124. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being on his farm. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patsy, four children; Beverly (William) Hellmer, Cascade, Brian (Lori) Krebsbach, Chilton, Doreen (Leon) Schreiber, Kiel, Allen (Jennica) Krebsbach, Kiel, four grandchildren, Lindsey Krebsbach, Keri (Sean) Pingel, Eric (Hilary) Schreiber, Marilee Krebsbach and two great grandchildren, Braxton & Atticus Pingel. He is further survived by two brothers, Orville Krebsbach, Gerald (Sylveria) Krebsbach, one brother-in-law, Robert (June) Fisher and one sister-in-law, Eleanor Fisher. He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony, one brother, Claude (Emily) Krebsbach two sisters, Lucille (Alvin) Daun, Marietta Krebsbach and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Krebsbach, Rohland Fisher, Kenneth (Lotus) Fisher, Janet (Ray) Langkabel, Ralph Fisher and Shirley Bruzus. Funeral services for Norman will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home,( 815 6th St., Kiel) with Joe Zenk, Parish Director presiding. Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Cemetery, New Holstein.
