Sophia was born on the 9th of December, 1821 in Porsnäs, Piteå Landsforörsaml, Norrbotton län, Sweden to Pehr and Sara "Larsdotter" Ersson-Norgren. She was the 3rd born of 8 children. On the 20th of January, 1843 she married Lars Christopher Danielson in Hammerfest, Finnmark, Norway, a sea captain. Sometime after 1866 they immigrated with their children through Canada to Hyde Park, Cook Co., Illinois. She was the mother of 13 children.
