Walker spent his early years in Ogden until his family moved to San Francisco, California.
Walker was an Engineer Draftsman. He retired from Standarad Oil after 35 years; he also retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves after 34 years.
Walker enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and making ceramics.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and daughter, Sandra Anderson.
He is survived by LaPrele Beattie, his wife of 59 years; his daughter, Leslie Grenier of Fresno; son, Robert Beattie and his wife Nancy of Longmont, Colorado; son-in-law, Philip Anderson of Keller, Texas; son, John Beattie and his wife Sarah of Coarsegold; and daughter, Debbie Barnett and her husband Dug of La Center, Washington. Walker was loved and will be missed by 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be at the Latter Day Saints West Stake Building, 3375 W. Sierra Ave. on Monday, October 23, 2006, at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
