Ernie Finney, 73, of Bedford, died at 6:15 AM on May 10, 2016 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born November 30, 1942 in Bedford, Indiana, he was the son of Charles and Maxine (Jones) Finney.
He was a graduate of Bedford High School and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Bedford. Ernie retired from North Lawrence Community Schools Corporation.
Surviving are two daughters, Julie (Clay) Carter and Lynisa Blackwell; grandchildren, Brittany Allen, Brandee Allen and Tyler Hogue; two brothers, Doug Finney (Fiancé Teresa Torphy), Charlie (Roxanne) Finney; sister, Pamela Finney; five nephews, Doug Jr, (Gena) Finney, Chris (Susan) Finney, Nathan (Fiancé Jennifer Maul), Dr. Brandt Finney and Donnie Harris; niece, Amy (Billy) Kaiser.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Perry Finney.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 17, 210 at 1:00 PM at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, 11-1 at the funeral home.
