Robert Twigg and Mary Ann McLaughlin were married in Jackson County, Ohio on
July 12, 1858. A possible first wife of Robert was to Anne Luzetta Harris
in Ross County, Ohio on Feb. 28, 1847. In the 1850 Census, this Robert
Twigg, 28, farmer, and Anne L., 20, had Roswell, 1/12; all born in Ohio;
living in Jackson Township, Jackson County, Ohio. (FamilySearch.org) There
was an Ann Twigg who was born Apr. 26, 1849 and died Apr. 27, 1849. She is
buried in the Stockman Cemetery at Richmond Dale, Ross County, Ohio.

In the 1860 Census in Steady Run Township, Keokuk County, Iowa with the J.
N. Hawk family were Robert Twiggs, 38, day laborer, Mary A., 27, and

Illinois were Robert, 50, farmer, real estate value of $8500, personal

Robbert Twigg, 62, farmer; Mary A., 49; and C. H., 32, farm laborer. All
were born in Ohio. They were living in Wright Township, section 6. The
1885 map shows C. H. Twigg owned 70.85 Acres in NW NW section 6 of Wright.

Twigg, 74, farmer, and Mary Ann, 56, both born in Ohio, religious belief was
M.E.

Mary A. Twigg, born in 1834, died Jan. 4, 1910 at Plainview, Pierce County,
Nebraska and is buried at Pleasant View Cemetery at Plainview, Nebraska.

moved to Plainview and bought property in Aug., 1907 to be near her sister
Jane Elliott.

The death of Robert Twigg, who lived eight or ten miles northeast of
Oakland, took place very suddenly Tuesday evening. He was quite feeble from
age being about 84 years old, but was as well as usual the day he was
stricken. He was well known here, as he did some of his trading here. The
funeral occurs today at 11 o'clock from the Dermyer church. (The Oakland
Acorn, 19 Nov 1903, p. 6)
