Deceased Name: Herbert Aagesen
Herbert Aagesen, age 71, of Bethlehem, died Friday, March 11, 2005 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Julia Aagesen. He resided in Croydon, for 27 years before moving to Bethlehem three years ago. Prior to his retirement, Herbert worked as a carpenter for 50 years working out of the Carpenters Union Local 8, Philadelphia. He was an avid woodworker who enjoyed it as a hobby and profession.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife Dorothy E. (Farley) Aagesen; daughter, Karen Shadle and her husband, Robert, of Bethlehem; son, John Aagesen of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Shadle and Emily and Jason Aagesen; two sisters, Ruth Tasch and Dolores Curel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Sliwinski and Edith Aagesen, and a brother, John Aagesen.

Services: 11 a.m. Frdiay, March 18, 2005 in the Molden Funeral Chapel Inc., 133 Otter St., Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 9:30-11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home.

Interment will be private.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice, P.O. Box 7017 Allentown 18105-7017.
