Rose (Signorelli) Bonventre, lifelong resident of Endicott, passed away May 26, 2014, joining in heaven her beloved husband Jerry, parents John and Angelina Signorelli, brothers Ralph, Anthony and Cosimo, and son-in-law Tom Shannon. Surviving Rose are her two daughters and son-in-law, Antoinette Shannon, Angela and Bill Tyson; grandsons, Brian Shannon and Adam Tyson; devoted sisters and brother-in-law, Angela Wallan, MaryAnn and Robert Sincavage; and always thoughtful sister-in-law, Josephine (Bonventre) Borrelli; plus treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and Tigger, her pet cat and constant pal. Rose was employed by the Village of Endicott, The Cider Mill and retired from I.B.M. Rose supported and volunteered at numerous events and organizations including Union Endicott School fundraisers, Meals on Wheels, West Endicott Fire Station Auxiliary, Wilson Hospital Auxiliary, St. Ambrose Food Pantry, Broome West Senior Center, and OLGC funeral luncheons. Gardening, cooking and sharing meals were her passions; no one ever left Rose's home hungry, even when she claimed "the refrigerator is empty". A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday June 6, 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott. Rose's lifelong generosity towards others can be reflected by contributions to MOW Western Broome County, 705 West Main Street, Endicott, NY 13760 or through www.mealsonwheelsofwesternbroome.com
