Funeral services for Gladys Mote, 96, of Lynden will be at 10:30 am Thursday at Gillies Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Kevin Newburg officiating. Burial will be at Ten Mile Cemetery after the services.
Visitation will be through 9 pm today and 9 am-9 pm Wednesday at Gillies Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Mote, 205 S. BC Ave, died Sunday at Lynden Christian Rest Home.
She was born March 2, 1893, in Wheatland, Ore and married Alva Mote on May 10, 1923. They moved to Whatcom County in 1927. He died in 1971.
Mrs. Mote was a member of Lynden Church of Nazarene and Ferndale Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Morgan of Everson and Joyce Morgan of Lynden; a son, Leroy Mote of Spokane; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Memorials may be made to Lynden Christian Rest Home. Arrangements are by Gillies Funeral Home.
