He was born in Wheatland and had lived in the Salem area all his life. He worked for 30 years as a salesman for Cherry City Bakery, retiring in 1950.
Surviving are the widow Minnie; daughter Mrs. Maxine Kinnan, Salem; sister Mrs. Gladys Mote, Demming, Wash.; brothers John, Oregon City, and Elmer, Astoria; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Howell-Edwards mortuary, Rev. Loren Miller officiating. Interment will be in Lee Mission Cemetery."
