John Worline was the son of John Wohrlein (b. approx. 1813, Bavaria or Holland) and Josephine Wohrlein (b. approx. 1826, Bavaria or Holland). The Wohrleins immigrated to Baltimore County sometime before 1852, when their eldest son, Philip, was born. John, who became a truck farmer like his father, married Catherine A. Klein, daughter of a farm family across the road, approx. 1888. They farmed on East Hamilton Avenue, between Belair and Philadelphia roads, The Worlines were probably members of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Belair Road, Gardenville/Raspeburg.
