Dover, New Hampshire

Eleanor "Ellie" Izbicki, resident of Dover, NH, passed away after a long illness on June 2, 2016 at Hyder Family Hospice House, Dover, NH in the presence of her family. Ellie had just celebrated her 88th birthday on May 2, 2016.

She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, The Daughter of Eva Foster and George Vautier. Ellie married her late husband, George Izbicki, March 11, 1957. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary prior to his passing in 2009.

She spent her life as a homemaker, raising four children in Derry, NH and later resided in Rochester, NH with her husband. Ellie and her husband enjoyed many years wintering in Florida. Ellie's favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and friends. She would spend her time when not with family, doing what she enjoyed: making blankets, quilts, knitting, and crafts for her family. Ellie also enjoyed crocheting, and baking which was one of her exceptional talents. If there was music playing she would lead the group in dancing, and when the opportunity arose, she would audition for talent shows and acting roles in local plays and musicals. She was always the life of any get together. Ellie also mastered Bingo and was actively involved with the local "Red Hats" Society.

She was a strong an independent person who did not want to be a burden to her family and friends.

It was the combination of her charisma and grace that made her a wonderful mother, wife, nana, sister, and friend. You always knew what was on her mind. There wasn't a person that she couldn't make laugh with her witty comments and contagious sense of humor.

She was survived by her four children, Michael Izbicki, Karen Gill, Andrew Izbicki, and Cheryl Michaud; her daughter in law Suzanne Izbicki and son in law Donald Michaud; eleven grandchildren (Melissa, Michelle, Brandon, Jason, Kimberly, Ashley, Kelsey, Cody, Zachery, Nina, and Hanna) and three great-grandchildren (Hayley, Logan, Bobbie). She is predeceased by brother Robert Vautier and her sister Ena.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held in honor of her memory on Saturday June 18, 2016, 11:00 AM, at Saint Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road Bedford, NH 03110. Assisting the family is the Cremation Society of NH. For further information, please visit www.csnh.com
