His parents were: Robert Edward McCrady (of whom little is known) and Christiana Loudon (1839-1900) His father deserted them soon after his birth. According to my mother, he had red hair and yellow eyes, a fairly hot temper, and diabetes. He enjoyed bird hunting, and used to take my mom out with him to retreive the birds. She always hated guns from then on.

Although he died in Salt Lake City, he lived in Pocatello, ID. He worked on the railroad, and that's why he was in the hospital in SLC when he died. According to my mother, he was cremated there, and the went down on the train to pick up his ashes and take them home.

The funeral director on his death certificate is listed as H.L. Mc Han in Pocatello, ID. There is no record of him at either of the cemeteries in Pocatello. The wherabouts of his remains will remain a mystery.
