Mahopac Falls-The death of Mrs. Permelia A.
Head occurred at the home of her son, Eugene
on Saturday, April 5, 1919, at the age of 88
years, 11 months and 9 days, from pneumonia
and complications. She was the daughter of
the late Hosia Head and Betsey Williams, and
the widow of Osiah Head.
Mrs. Head was the mother of a large family,
eight of whom survive her: Henry, Hosea, Charles,Eugene and James Head, Mrs. Hannah Odell, Mrs. Georgiana Blenis and Mrs. Joseph Fisher. She is also survived by the unusual number of 63 grandchildren. A son, Captain Abijah Head, was killed while serving in France last summer.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian
church at Mahopac Falls, of which she had
been a member for over twenty years. The burial was made in the cemetery by the church.
